This is the cyber garden of Tenkirin. He writes tech articles around Web development and related thoughts here. The name Gatsbytes derives from the combination of Gatsby and bytes, one of which is a popular front-end framework used to build this site, and the other is the primary data unit, both indicating the theme of this blog. He is pretty satisfied with this name as its pronunciation sounds good. The cover image above is his handwriting of the name.

Tenkirin, the GitHub ID used by him, is a word(天気輪) coined by Kenji Miyazawa(宮沢 賢治) in his classic Japanese fantasy novel Night on the Galactic Railroad(銀河鉄道の夜). He prefers another explanation of the name from a homophonic perspective, written as 天麒麟, with the same pronunciation while meaning "the Kirin in the sky." If you come here via his GitHub, don't feel surprised that he is not the real Nelson "Big Head" Bighetti, which is just one of his favorite TV roles in Silicon Valley, a TV series that he watched then got influenced in his college days.

He is a Web Developer mainly focusing on the front-end region nowadays. Since the fall of 2020, he has learned a lot from the open-source community. He is always looking for opportunities to give back to the community as much as possible, even though his contribution may be merely a tiny droplet for the endless ocean. In his spare time, he likes to dive into various technologies, read blog posts and articles from industry-leading experts and write associated articles as summaries to consolidate his understanding of the whole Web. As a multilingual learner, he started to try to translate tech articles from English/Japanese into the Chinese language version. In the past, he used to write and read some algorithm solutions on LeetCode as it's a good way to train a programmer's brain. Stefan and Lee215 are two of his role models as he is often amazed by their elegant, concise code and the clever logic behind it. Recently he has been obsessed with TypeScript, especially its intriguing type system, and often does some type challenges. In his opinion, it is always exciting to find sophisticated solutions and learn a lot from the community.
